Lamborghini Huracán Maintenance Schedule: What Owners in Las Vegas Need to Know

The Huracán is one of the most capable naturally aspirated V10 cars ever built. It's also one that punishes skipped maintenance more than most people expect — quietly, until it isn't quiet anymore.

We service Lamborghinis at Executive Auto Service in Las Vegas, and the pattern we see most often is owners who are on top of the big stuff but fuzzy on the actual intervals. This post lays out Lamborghini's recommended service schedule for the Huracán, what's actually included at each interval, and the specific things Las Vegas ownership adds to the equation.

The Core Service Interval: Annual or Every 9,000 to 10,000 Miles

Lamborghini recommends service for the Huracán once per year or every 9,000 to 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. For most Las Vegas owners driving their car occasionally, the annual clock hits before the mileage does. That means the calendar matters more than the odometer.

At this annual visit, the service includes:

  • Engine oil and filter replacement (synthetic, to Lamborghini specification)
  • Visual inspection of brake pads, discs, and calipers
  • Inspection of all fluid levels — coolant, hydraulic, gearbox
  • Check and reset of any service indicator messages
  • Comprehensive factory-spec visual inspection of the drivetrain, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Road test

This is the baseline. Think of it as the minimum the car needs to stay in healthy operating condition.

The 2-Year Service: Fluids Go Deeper

At two years (or approximately 18,000 miles), the service scope expands significantly. Added to the annual items are:

  • Brake fluid flush and replacement
  • Engine coolant replacement
  • Spark plug replacement (on some Huracán variants, this may be pushed to 20,000 miles depending on the specific model year and configuration)
  • V-belt and tensioner replacement
  • Pollen/cabin air filter replacement

The brake fluid interval is worth calling out specifically. The Huracán's Brembo braking system is exceptional, but brake fluid absorbs moisture over time and its boiling point drops as a result. On a car capable of this kind of speed and deceleration, that matters. Lamborghini's two-year flush interval isn't conservative — it's appropriate.

The 3-Year Service: Gearbox Fluid

At three years or around 27,000 miles, gearbox fluid is changed and the full inspection checklist expands to include the oil vapor recirculation system, oxygen sensors, the EVAP system, and injection and ignition systems. This is a more comprehensive teardown of what's happening under the hood electronically and mechanically.

Major Service at 5 Years

Around the five-year mark, the service is at its most involved: spark plugs (if not already replaced at two years), transmission fluid, potential clutch inspection, and deep mechanical checks of belts, gaskets, and related components. This is the service where deferred maintenance starts showing up as real money. We've seen owners who stretched intervals get hit with multiple items at once at this stage.

What Las Vegas Changes About This Schedule

The Lamborghini maintenance schedule was designed for general use. Las Vegas ownership has a few specific conditions that shift the priorities slightly.

Low mileage, high heat: Many Huracán owners here put on 2,000 to 4,000 miles a year. The car might not hit the mileage trigger for years, but the annual calendar service is non-negotiable. Synthetic oil still degrades. Brake fluid still absorbs moisture. The car doesn't care that it sat in a climate-controlled garage most of the year — the chemical changes happen regardless of how many miles you drove.

Cooling system stress: Las Vegas summer ambient temperatures regularly exceed 110°F. The Huracán's mid-engine layout puts the V10 in a position where it's already working hard to manage heat. Running the cooling system with degraded or low coolant in this environment is a fast path to overheating. We check coolant condition carefully at every service.

Tires and brakes wear fast in the heat: If you're driving enthusiastically — even just a quick pull on the freeway — in Las Vegas summer heat, tire and brake temperatures climb faster than they would in a moderate climate. We recommend a visual brake check at every oil service, not just the factory intervals, for cars that see spirited driving here.

A Note on the Dual-Clutch Transmission

The Huracán uses a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (LDF, or Lamborghini Doppia Frizione). It's an excellent gearbox but it requires the correct fluid and proper interval changes to stay that way. Fluid changes typically run $800 to $1,500. It's one of the items that owners sometimes defer, and one of the items that becomes expensive if deferred too long. Follow the factory interval on this one.
